Coming together to develop a racial justice organizing platform since January, CT Community Organizing for Racial Equity has been holding forms to raise awareness on multiple issues as it pertains to racial equity.
By building a culture of racial justice and organization by supporting and training a network of grassroots leaders who are committed to dismantling institutional racism and racial justice policy, CT CORE intends to build an anti racist community and co-create a movement for greater racial equity in the state of Connecticut.
Through community organization and community building throughout CT, CT CORE have identified 4 racial justice categories as their focus: criminal justice reform, education equity, economic justice, and environmental justice/health equity. CT CORE actively engages community members, research, and organizes issue campaigns at the grassroots level to bring about reform in these areas. They provide resources for new and experience organizers by way of trainings, workshops, and online resources while creating space to foster community and support organizing efforts around the state.
