Food Stories

In the fall semester of 2018, the Connecticut Food System Alliance worked with Liberal Arts Action Lab (a partnership between Capital Community College and Trinity College) on a project called Food Stories. Four students collected oral histories from people in our food system ranging from an urban farmer (at Knox, Inc.) to a restaurant owner, food service worker, and former Grow Hartford Youth Program alum. Students of the Liberal Arts Action Lab paired these oral histories with the food policies (from food service safety regulations to labor rights and SNAP).

We are excited to share the final products with our network and hope to bring you more food stories in the future!
